Align & Flow Yoga / Hatha Yoga

This class teaches the practice of embodying the principles and philosophy of yoga with clear alignment and fluid movement. How can we use the physical practice of asana to awaken and move subtle energy within the body? How do we infuse our physical body at every level with a deep awareness of our inner being? Align & Flow Yoga combines clear, specific, therapeutic alignment instruction with the natural way your body wants to breathe and move. Each class is an opportunity to discover the inner teacher and the wellspring of wisdom and Love in your own heart.

Meridian Flow Yoga TM

Meridian Flow Yoga TM is a practice of vibrationally tuning the meridian pathways of the body used in shiatsu massage therapy and Chinese medicine through asana infused with intelligent alignment, sound therapy, positive affirmation and emotional body balancing. It is a synthesis of years of experience of teaching and practice in alignment based haha yoga systems and Zen Shiatsu.

 

Privates

Private yoga instruction is available for individuals and small groups.  With personal attention, it's possible to take your practice to the next level in the comfort of your own home!  Each private lesson begins with a free consultation to discuss your individual or group needs.  Sessions can be designed to have a therapeutic and/or restorative emphasis or to build strength and work on your "edge postures" --the poses that challenge you the most.   I can help you develop a home practice.  We can work therapeutically to clear injury from the body.  Or we can just have fun, breathe and move!

Workshops

Restorative & Yoga Nidra

Offered on or around the new moon, these workshops reate a safe container in which to rest & restore.

The evening begins with gentle active movement leading into passive restorative posturing with the support of bolsters & props.

We then move onto a Yoga Nidra practice. Yoga Nidra is an ancient guided relaxation technique designed to completely relax and reset the nervous system while subconsciously aligning you with your sankalpa or life’s purpose. Moontime Yoga

Moontime Yoga TM is a practice for women in all stages and phases of reproduction from the Maiden and the Mother to the Wild Woman and the Crone.  

It is an invitation to practice yoga in a soft feminine way that honors your body as a temple for the cycle of life, death and rebirth.  This practice is designed as a journey inside connecting to the wisdom and love of the feminine heart and womb.  

Meantime Yoga tm includes a potent discussion, bringing to Light all the taboo topics around menstruation and menopause and everything in between connecting us to our local and global sisterhood.  The Moontime Yoga practice is thoughtfully designed as a practical way to use yoga as a tool to nourish and rejuvenate you at different times in your cycle.  

You can do this practice when you are bleeding, feeling the need for more quiet and reflection, on or around a new moon, during menopause,and to address imbalances related to menstruation including amenorrhea and heavy bleeding.  

The practice begins with Chandra Namaskar (Salutations to the Moon) a modern Hatha yoga compliment to traditional Surya Namaskar (Salutations to the Sun), and continues with gentle movement and restorative postures with bolsters and props.  Instruction for several major acupressure points to help relieve imbalances associated with menstruation is also included.
