Private Yoga

Whether you are a novice or a seasoned yogi a private lesson is the perfect way to take your practice to the next level in the comfort of your own home!

Each private lesson begins with a free consultation to discuss your individual or group needs.

Sessions can be designed to have a therapeutic and/or restorative emphasis or to build strength and work on your "edge postures" --the poses that challenge you the most.   I can help you develop a home practice.  We can work therapeutically to clear injury from the body.  Or we can just have fun, breathe and move!

Yoga therapy can be extremely effective in clearing injuries from the body.  I will guide your body back into a natural alignment that offers a feeling of relief and freedom.  A yoga therapy session will include passive and active hands- on and verbal assists. I will also teach you how to do these for yourself at home.  We may use props including bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps as well as restorative postures to let the body settle into natural alignment and release patterns that are at the source of injury.  I'll send you home with "Pose Prescriptions" - a series of therapeutically minded poses customized for you!

Challenge Yourself

It's common to experience a "plateau" in your practice.  Or perhaps you are just setting out or beginning again after weeks or years.  This session is designed to challenge you and take you to a safe edge, a place where you fell centered, grounded and aligned enough to expand with grace and freedom.  You may even end up in postures you never thought you could do!  We all have a brave heart inside of us and this desire for expansion.  Let me guide you to your fullest potential!
